Hello guys, there are MAJOR DIFFERENCES between visual novel and anime already.. and it’s only ep 2 wth?
First problem that alrdy started from ep 1 is that Sorata(the kid) was supposed to be together with Koharu when they board the ship, so without sorata, there are certain parts that had to be changed.
Starting with the attack, loved the animated scene of how badass Mikoto looks, defending against the gunshot. In the anime, it appears as though she has no problem defending at all but in the VN, she noted a “numb feeling” can be felt when she defend against the gunshot. She appears to struggle a lil more in the VN than she seemed to over here.
Major plothole in anime: Mikoto questions what the weapon is but then later she call it a gun?!
In the VN, Sorata, instead of Sakuya, would appear to call out to Mikoto before Natsuhiko could take her with him. Sorata would then say that the unknown weapon is a gun, which somehow shock Natsuhiko. In the end Natsuhiko would leave just like that. There are no friggin mini ships shooting Norn from the inside. After that, Mikoto would question Sorata what a gun is. This leaves Sorata a lil puzzled because he was sure that the gun should have existed at their current time period.
Heisuke(telepathy guy) is supposed to make an announcement to call everyone to seek shelter at the dining room, which is the lowest floor. Everyone is supposed to go there and theres no random hiding place as shown in the anime. The dining area is supposedly the safest since its furthest from the roof, where Mikoto says the barrier is thinnest at.
WTF WHY YOU MAKE KOHARU LOOK LIKE SOME STUPID BIMBO GOING AFTER A PEACH TREE. Koharu isnt supposed to use the fire powers so early !?!
omg they screw this up so badly now everybody’s going to hate Koharu
One more thing, Koharu should not even be tired even after using her power because she’s supposed to be one of the most badass espers among everybody.
This does not seem like an important segment but the first explosion blew up a wall in the Norn. The investigation part should be made with more suspense and dragged out more but they decided to just totally cut short this. Anyways in the end, they would conclude that there’s a traitor and then proceed to at least start with a solution to this problem — holy shyt that eating part in the anime wdf? they are supposed to just directly go over the plans on the round table.
Ron dont appear to be sleeping alot in the anime. He usually sleeps through most of the meetings.
Kakeru suggested 2 plans: 1) be honest about past and powers 2) pair up
if we play Mikoto’s route, she would be thinking about how ‘cunning’ kakeru is in pushing the first plan that he know is going to fail so that his 2nd plan would seem more viable. It rlly gives insight to how much thought kakeru puts into his actions. Also, there during investigation, Mikoto would also point out that it would be truly frightening if Kakeru is a traitor, since he’s so smart.
Basically, Kakeru’s mind games were downplayed in the anime.
Mikoto is supposed to be researching about ‘gun’ in the library together with Sorata.
Akito is EXTREMELY CUTE when he’s scared of the hiyokos. He would go all GAH and ARGH, and then run away in the VN. But it still seems pretty bland here. Kind of sad.
Also, the hiyokos were supposed to be much bigger i think.
Because theres so many differences between VN and anime, im starting to mixed up things too.
Koharu studies etiquetters and how to talk to pple through a book. So there’s many things that she does not know since she lacks the real life experience. She does not know that it’s not exactly a compliment when kakeru calls her interesting. So when she thanked him for the ‘compliment’ kakeru just laughs.
In the VN, Koharu is shown to dislike her power alot, and she would often envy people like Mikoto who has the power to protect and Kakeru who has the power to give life since hers only takes away life.
There are no dirt wiping moments in kakeru-koharu route i think. And her heartbeat does not beat so quickly this early.
She’s supposed to plant a strawberry seed and growing it instead of a peach seed. But because the strawberry has so much story to it, im just going to advise everyone to play the VN instead of typing here.
I dont rmb there being a scene where Kakeru tells her that a pair is supposed to take baths and sleep together. That sounds like what Itsuki would say instead actually.
Awww man they didnt show Akito cooking…. maybe next episode.
And they introduce Sorata at this point in time after the attacks? Much of his appearance is important during and before the attacks so I have no idea what the people who made the anime are thinking. Well i guess he would somewhat be needed in Mikoto’s route later on.
Im hoping this gives more insight to the show abit. Hopefully i do not spoil anything. Just wanted to share side information and also encourage you guys to play the VN instead.
